As for your response, I do appreciate the reply. But we never received deposit letters from you at all. None of the family did. We have paid our deposit around the same time frame the past years and it was never an issue or made to be an issue until this year when our check was returned.
2014 Memorial Day the grounds keeper allowed me and my family to drop our boats, using their slip at no cost. We purchased a few items from their convenience store to show our appreciation. I don't think they were too worried about it, but the southern comfort approach was greatly appreciated. We hope to rent a couple boats this year so we don't have to drag the boat there. 2015 Memorial day update. We rented one pontoon boat for three days of Memorial Day weekend. Stephanie and Bob were great in taking care of our needs. 2016 received a boat that was not up to snuff. Cut out when first starting and would run like a 4 cylinder with only one cylinder firing for twenty minutes, then would kick in again. Asked for a different boat, but nothing happened with 2nd boat sitting in slip for the weekend. Lowering my review from 5 to 4 stars. I'm hoping for a good 2017.

we used to come there all the time when I was a kid and when the Hodges owned it and then I came there some afterwards with my own children now my husband is passed away last year after 38 years and I need a place to just come and get away I think I'm going to come back to the Cozy Cove just to go fishing and enjoy and run myself and try to relax my husband and I loved it there I hope it's still got the same old great fishing thank you Kelly
We have been going to Cozy Cove for many years always going during the same week. We would always see the same families there every year. We were very happy until 2014. In 2014, we were told that we had to change dates because the owner changed the protocol that had been used for years to accommodate someone who rented the entire resort and he wanted our dates. We changed our dates for 2015 but our entire family could not make it due prior commitments during that time of year. We made reservation at a different resort for 2016 so we could go during our original week. When we informed Cozy Cove that we were going elsewhere at checkout they promised us the cabin we wanted on the date we wanted for 2016. They assured us everything would work and to cancel our reservation at the other resort. And we did. The paper work for the deposit usually comes at the end of the year. The paperwork never came. We tried to contact them several time with no success. Finally in until March we received a response back. In March we were informed that we did not have the cabin we thought we reserved but a smaller one. Then a week later we were informed that cabin wasn't available either now and we would be getting an even smaller one. From the end of March until end of May we made many attempts to contact Cozy Cove by phone leaving messages each time. None of the calls were returned as we still have never received deposit papers and we wanted to confirm we had a cabin. Since we never got a response from Cozy Cove, we assumed we no longer had a cabin reserved. We scrambled in late May to try and find a place to stay. Now the day before we leave for vacation, cozy cove sends an email with news that they were able to get us into a larger cabin. Little too late.
We have been faithful customers to cozy cove cabins for the past few years. Always had so much fun. We book the big cabin, usually at least 2-3 other smaller cabins for our family reunion every year. Unfortunately, they returned out deposit check for this upcoming year. When we leave there, we book for the following year to make sure we get the same spot. Due to the carelessness of the owners/operators, we now are not able to have our reunion or stay at the resort. We will not be coming back and they have lost a lot of good business from our family.
