All new plumbing, Throughout the campground. They enforce quiet time if there is an issue. They made the swim hole deeper.
We stayed here with a group and it was worst camping experience Iever had and we camp at least 4 times a year. Every year for the last 10 years.I would have left and drove the 3 hours back home as soon as we got there if I had drove myself. But I will give both the positives and negatives and let you decide if you would enjoy staying there.
The positives:
8. You have to drive 30 mins away to get ice, or anything else for that matter.

Being a baking and pastry student she made cupcakes. We are looking forward to more fishing, swimming, gathering, eating, laughing, and marshmallow roasting.
This campground is under new ownership. We started camping here this spring & we love it. They are making a lot of improvement's. The staff & workers are really great. All the people in the campground are very friendly.
1.They have no fire pits or picnic tables for tent campers. And do not tell you that when you reserve.
These guy's never stop working when work is to be done. Wait till next year all of you that love Southern Komfort. The bathhouse is all brand new. They have replaced docks, ramps, walkways.
3. There are teens/tweens zooming around in golf carts even next to people's tent at all hours of the day and night.
Cowboy works very hard to keep the place up and respond to the needs of the campers there. He also has some VERY funny stories that you may see on next year's America's Got Talent...

The negatives:
2. They will find you a fire pit and picnic table if you say you are going to leave because they don't have one.
3. You are allowed adult beverages even in the can while you are driving around the campground. If you enjoy that.
I believe we would had a little better experience if we had been in RV so the bathroom would not have been as much of an issue, the party's going on around us would not have been so loud and we would have had a refrigerator so the ice wouldn't have been a problem. So maybe try it in an RV. This is definitely not the place to camp in a tent.
4.They have electric and water on some sites.
2.Friday night there was a huge loud party that went on till 4 am with no one in the office and no one answering phone calls. There is evidently no quite hours.
4. Bathrooms are dirty and in disrepair. In the womens there is a broken sink and no lights in the shower. The stall doors do not lock.The outside door will lock you inside and you have to have someone on the outside let you out. The men's has no doors for the stalls just dirty curtains, broken sink, no hot water in sinks.
